The General Oceanics mechanical flow meters are extensively used in open channel applications including, rivers, estuaries, canals, sewage outfalls, pipes, harbour entrances and in plankton nets and other samplers. Models available include the standard mechanical flow meter, a directional digital flow meter and a real time electronic flow meter with remote display. Interchangeable rotors allow the user to measure very low flows. Computer software is also available for real time collection of water current speed, distance and volume.
