CDL manufacture a high quality Bathymetric sensor for use in the offshore oil and gas industry. In subsea survey operations an accurate bathymetric system is essential to provide a precise reference depth and altitude from which other measurements are taken. The subsea unit uses a Paroscientific Digiquartz pressure sensor and the Kongsberg Simrad Mesotech Model 1007 Digital Altimeter to give the most accurate and reliable measurements. The surface unit displays the data and has multiple data output formats for sending to various survey software packages. Units are available to operate in 7000m water depths. Typical applications are ROV operations, dredging operations, positioning of towed bodies and coastal engineering.
