For more information click hereWith the proliferation of subsea
communication and power cables being laid in the oceans of the world, it is becoming
increasingly important to have an accurate cable location system so that installation,
burial, survey, recovery and repair is performed as efficiently and economical as
possible. The TSS350 Cable Survey System has been developed to meet this requirement in a
compact, modular system that provides advanced features not previously available in such
cable location systems. By detecting the magnetic fields developed by an induced tone, the
TSS350 can locate, fault find and survey one cable among other cables and subsea pipelines
and structures at all burial depths. The system is typically mounted on an ROV or tracked
vehicle and provides real time data to the operator on the vessel.
The TSS340 Pipe
Tracker is designed to provide accurate position and depth of cover data, in real time
from the ROV mounted system. Using pulse induction technology the system can detect the
presence of both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, making the system ideal for locating
carbon and stainless steel pipelines, armoured and non-armoured cables and applications
that require the detection of metals.
The TSS Dual
Track is a combination unit using the passive TSS340 pulse induction and active TSS350
tone detection technology. This system is suitable for survey operations where the tone
may be lost or unavailable on a target cable and the operator can switch to the passive
mode without having to recover the ROV. |
