General Oceanics manufacture the oceanographic industry standard Rosette Multibottle Water Sampling System used in conjunction with a CTD to measure and take water samples to full ocean depth, all controlled via a single conductor cable. A battery operated system is also available in lieu of using a cable. Various Rosette models will allow the collection of water samples from 1.2 litres to 30 litres with up to 36 bottles installed on a rotary Rosette or a user programmable intelligent Rosette. Reversing thermometers can be added which give an accurate temperature reading with each water sample taken.
