Clydeside Surveys Ltd chooses RESON SeaBat
Clydeside Survey Ltd. has recently taken delivery of a RESON SeaBat 8125 Multibeam Echosounder System along with RESON’s brand new SVP70 sound velocity probe, for an increased bathymetric and engineering survey work program. The system was delivered by RESON Offshore Ltd. in Aberdeen.
Clydeside Surveys were commissioned to carry out a close detail survey of the quaywall in Glasgow harbour using multibeam bathymetry, as the quaywall was over 2,500m long and the water visibility was less than 20cm. Clydeside Surveys Ltd. has chosen the advanced RESON SeaBat 8125, as a stan-dard multibeam would not be ideal due to poor beam-width and resolution. The survey done with Sea-Bat 8125 has picked up cracks, deformation and even individual rungs of the ladders.
